EAGLES HAMMER HIGHROLLERS 40-6 TO TAKE MAFL BOWL X

Three Kurt Warner TD passes earns MVP honors

Kurt Warner threw TD passes of 8, 12 and 15 yards which proved to be a late icing on the cake to a RiversEdge Eagles romp in MAFL Bowl X. Warner retains his undefeated status as the Eagles starter and the team finishes the season on a 7-0-1 run including the final three in the playoffs.

The Highrollers finish the season as NFC Champs, but the team really failed to show up on the final week. Three New Orleans starters for the Highrollers were shut out and the team never really had a chance after that.

Eagles first round pick Ahman Green gave Warner a run for the MVP of MAFL Bowl X with 101 yards and a pair of rushing TDs. Bruce Noe becomes the third owner to pilot two teams to championships, turning the trick in 1998.

Congratulations go out to both teams for fine seasons. With the final gun of the season sounding, all 16 MAFL teams begin preparing to knock off the new champs in 2002.
